The meeting of the Provincial North-South Paired Assistance and Coordination Group was held in Nanjing on Sunday to deeply study General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on regional coordinated development, and to conscientiously implement the work requirements of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government. Ma Xin, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Executive Vice Governor, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

Recognizing the achievements of North South paired assistance cooperation, Ma Xin pointed out that in just one year, the North-South paired assistance has achieved a good start, thanks to the basic establishment of cooperation mechanisms, the comprehensive formation of assistance structures, and the continuous expansion of cooperation fields.

He demanded that all regions must effectively enhance their political stance, give full play to leading advantages of southern Jiangsu and the potential for further development in northern Jiangsu, and promote the formation of a regional economic layout that complements each other"s advantages and develops with high quality through the strong pull of funds, projects, and talents.

He requested all regions to coordinate the regional layout within the province, fully mobilize the enthusiasm of both the north and south, concentrate their efforts to accomplish major tasks, strengthen top-level design and goal promotion, seek practical results in opening-up to the outside world, joint construction and sharing, and solidly carry out north-south pairing assistance cooperation, promoting regional coordinated development to a new level.
