East China’s Jiangsu province recorded a year-on-year increase of 5.6% in per capita income in the first half of the year, according to a press conference held Wednesday by the information office of the provincial government.

In recent years, focusing on the urgent livelihood issues that the people are eager to solve, Jiangsu has continuously implemented the dividends of livelihood. In the first half of the year, Jiangsu completed over half of the 55 practical projects related to people"s livelihoods, achieving new progress and results.

In terms of promoting independent entrepreneurship and expanding channels for increasing farmers" income, Jiangsu has also introduced practical measures to promote sustained and stable income growth for residents throughout the province.

In the first half of the year, Jiangsu recorded a per capita income of 27795 yuan, 8123 yuan higher than the national average, a year-on-year increase of 5.6%.

Jiangsu also has the largest number of social organizations in the country. These social organizations, along with 110000 volunteer service teams, are active on the front lines of urban and rural communities, providing diverse and differentiated community services to residents.

Towards the end of this year, Jiangsu will continue to promote the organic integration of macro policies and employment policies, focus on increasing the income of middle and low income groups, fully guarantee the livelihood of people in need, and ensure the sustained and stable growth of residents" income.

At the same time, Jiangsu will accelerate the digital transformation of civil affairs, build diversified service application scenarios, and create high-quality life for people with high-quality services and refined management at home.
