The Shanghai-Nanjing Yangtze River High Speed Railway has completed joint debugging and testing with a target speed of 385 kilometers per hour.

During the joint debugging and testing period, a comprehensive inspection train will be arranged to gradually increase the test speed of operation on the line until the maximum test speed operation test is carried out according to the speed standard of 110% of the line design speed.

“Various testing tasks have been completed for the joint debugging and trial operation of the Shanghai-Nanjing Yangtze River High Speed Railway with a maximum speed of 385 kilometers per hour for the entire line. The communication, signal, power, and traction power supply equipment are in good conditionachieving the phased goal of joint debugging and trial operation”, Luo Cheng, Deputy Manager of Shanghai-Nanjing High speed Railway Project, said.

After the comprehensive testing of the entire line, the Shanghai-Nanjing Yangtze River High Speed Railway will usher in signal system joint debugging and testing before its scheduled operation in September.

The 279km long Shanghai Nanjing Yangtze River High-speed Railway starts from Nanjing South railway station in the west and reaches Taicang Station in the east, passing through Nanjing, Zhenjiang, Changzhou, Wuxi and Suzhou, and connecting Shanghai Railway Terminal through Shanghai–Suzhou–Nantong railway.

The backbone intercity rail transit network in the Yangtze River Delta region forms the high-speed railway artery radiating westward in the Yangtze River Delta region, together with the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway and the Shanghai–Nanjing intercity railway.
