Magnificent Cloud, an original technology themed ballet created by the Suzhou Ballet, was staged at the Suzhou Culture and Art Center Grand Theater on Tuesday, marking the beginning of the 5th China Suzhou Jiangnan Culture, Art Tourism Festival.

As the opening performance of this year"s Jiangnan Culture, Art, and Tourism Festival, "The Magnificent Cloud" pioneered the use of ballet to depict technological themes. Through the artistic portrayal of Suzhou-born scientists who participated in the atomic bomb and satellite launch, it tells the touching story of older generation scientists who kept on breaking through their physical, spiritual, and technological limits, and completing China"s first atomic bomb development.

This grand event will continue until the end of June, with main activities covering various forms of art such as music, opera, dance, and exhibitions.

Shengze Fashion Week will empower the fashion industry with culture and support the high-quality development of the local textile industry through 18 fashion release shows, two competitions, three summit forums, and cloud exhibitions.

1 million yuan of cultural and tourism consumption vouchers will be distributed during this year"s Jiangnan Culture, Art and Tourism Festival so as to allow more citizens to enjoy this cultural and tourism feast.
