“After dinner, I had a stroll in the ancient Shantang Street where I listened to Kunqu opera and had a glass of Biluochun tea against the evening breeze, which made me really comfortable,”said Jiang Yi, a staff reporter of Suzhou TV.
Shantang Street is known as the "Number One Street in Suzhou", and on weekdays, there is still a bustling stream of people here. Listening to a melodious and graceful Kunqu opera here has become a new choice for many tourists from other places.

This year, the scenic area has also incorporated some popular online songs into traditional Suzhou style songs, providing tourists with a better experience.
“Other forms of performance can be toured to various cities, but this performance can only be experienced in Suzhou, so I think we should take a special look and experience it,”said atourist.
As one of the ten scenic spots of the "Grand Canal", Fengqiao Scenic Area has launched the night upstream tour route which passes Yuyin Bridge, Jiangcun Bridge and Hanshan Temple from south to north by boat. Along the way, with the dim moonlight and colorful streamers, it seems that you are immersed in the street life of small bridges and flowing water, and you can immerse yourself in the unique charm of Suzhou.
“The scenery is quite beautiful. I can feel the Jiangnan misty rain that people often talk about,”said a tourist.
“Since the beginning of this year, we have received an average of 1200 to 1300 peopleper day from Monday to Friday. On weekends, we receive approximately 1500 to 1600 people per day,”said Zhang Yifan, director of the Fengqiao Scenic Area Office in Suzhou City.
The nights in Jiangsu are both gentle and poetic, as well as passionate and fiery. At the night market in Suqian City, the band"s appearance completely ignited the atmosphere. The exquisite singing skills of the band singers on stage attracted many citizens.
The night market sells Yuanxiao or round balls made of glutinous rice-flour, sugar figurines, wheel cakes, hawthorn cakes and many other local specialties to satisfy tourists’appetites. In addition, the exhibition of intangible cultural heritage products such as Cai Ji"s handmade papyrus and gourd carving cannot be missed.
The Lvsi Night Market in Qidong County was turned into a food carnival for tourists, who are attracted to refreshing and delicious juicy seafood, various fried skewers, and hot Fuding meat slices. A small food court tempted people"s taste buds by gathering snacks from all over the world.
“Delicious. This is the authentic taste of Lvsi,”said a resident of Qidong.
“There are quite a few people here, so I prepared 300 delicious dishes today, which may not be enough,”said a street vendor in Lvsi Night Market.
Featuring specialty snacks, fruit tea, milk tea, flowers, and headgear, the market on the north bank of the Nantong Canal saw the bustle of people. Amidst the street lamps, some people were seen holding a cup of milk tea and enjoyingdelicious food, while some parents were seen taking their children strolling, with a strong sense of happiness reflected in their smiles and laughter.
