East China"s Jiangsu province has implemented refined urban transformation and management to create more exquisite and comfortable new urban features, meet the growing needs of the people for a better life, and continuously transform development achievements into quality of life.

The last electric pole on Northwest Street in Suzhou has been dismantled. After several months of construction with power transmission lines buried underground, the cables and roadside poles above the street are no longer visible. A group of multifunctional poles integrating lighting, monitoring, signal base stations, intelligent parking, and other functions were erected on both sides of the road.

"We buried the power lines underground and increased the capacity of the power facilities, greatly improving the service capacity," said Yao Wei, Chief of the Underground Pipeline Supervision Department of Suzhou Urban Management Bureau.

Since last year, Suzhou has implemented a project to organize 100 electrical wires above urban roads, and 80% of the work has been completed so far. In the next step, Suzhou will also select more roads for smart transformation pilot projects, demonstrating the new efficiency of urban refined management.

The first urban furniture theme park located in Huishan District of Wuxi city has been installed with multiple functional areas such as children"s playground, urban reception hall, and rainwater garden. The formerly dilapidated old alley built in the 1980s has been renovated into a popular recreation venue through the renovation of urban furniture.

"We have set up different leisure seats according to the characteristics of different functional areas, and some seats also equipped with USB sockets," said Yu Chenhao, staff of Development Zone Branch of Urban Management Bureau of Huishan District, Wuxi.

Since last year, Wuxi has been focusing on upgrading and renovating urban furniture in four major categories and 45 sub categories, including public services, traffic signs, green space accessories, and municipal lighting. This year, 75% of the work will be completed.
