Dragon Boat Festival, or Duanwu Festival, is a traditional Chinese festival celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, which falls on June 22 this year.

The festival was created to commemorate Qu Yuan, a famous poet and politician during the Warring States Period (475-221 BC). Chinese people usually organize dragon boat races, eatzongzi(sticky rice wrapped in bamboo leaves), hang Chinese mugwort and calamus, and wear five-color ropes and sachets to celebrate the festival.
