Li Shiqin, Chairman of the Taiwan Electrical and Electronics Industry Association, suggested that Taiwanese businessmen should seize the opportunity, strengthen their confidence, and continue to increase investment in the mainland particularly in Xuzhou so that they will reap full rewards in the future. He made the remarks at the 4th Xuzhou-Taiwan Jinlong Lake Trade Forum that was held in the Xuzhou Economic Development Zone on Tuesday. As early as the 1980s, Xuzhou and Taiwan began the prelude to their economic and trade cooperation.

As the primary destination for industrial development in Xuzhou, the Xuzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone has continuously deepened its cooperation with Taiwan by holding three sessions of the Jinlong Lake Summit between Xuzhou and Taiwan since 2018. At the same time, the Taiwan Electrical and Electronics Industry Association has established its sole liaison office in the Huaihai Economic Zone in Xuzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone. Taiwan-funded enterprises such as Zhengwei, Xinbang Electronics, Qiangmao Semiconductor, Quest Optoelectronics, and Uni Industrial have invested in Xuzhou, making Xuzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone increasingly a hot spot for Taiwanese businessmen.

More than 130 guests and merchants were invited to participate in the trade forum, including over 80 Taiwanese business friends and guild association guests.

High-quality industrial projects such as Fugang Electronics mobile phone parts and Qiangmao Electronics semiconductor packaging were signed, promoting the cooperation between the two regions to a new level.
