The 2023 China Taizhou High-tech Ship Intelligent Technology Innovation and Development Conference was held in Taizhou on Wednesday morning. Industry insiders explored new technologies and driving forces for the development of the shipbuilding industry economy by focusing on the theme of "green innovation integration".
In 2022, China topped the world in the international market share in shipbuilding and new orders received. China is facing many challenges such as insufficient development and design capabilities for new ship types, and the urgent need to upgrade its independent supporting industries, which also puts forward higher requirements for industrial development.
This conference will promote the landing and transformation of more excellent R&D teams and industrial projects in the shipbuilding industry in Jiangsu.
As the largest private shipbuilding base in China, a national-level ship export base, and the world"s largest shipbuilding anchor chain manufacturing base, Taizhou recorded a shipbuilding completion volume of 1.19 ships of 8.073 million deadweight tons last year, accounting for 21.3% of the national proportion and 10.1% of the global proportion.
Since the first quarter of this year, Taizhou has reported a year-on-year growth of 20.7% in the marine equipment and high-tech shipbuilding industry.
