Since the beginning of this year, Jiangsu has maintained a steady and positive growth in the software and information technology service industry with accelerated development of new technologies such as cloud services, big data, and industrial Internet, boosting the digital transformation of the province’s manufacturing sector to a higher level.

According to the statistics of the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, from January to May, Jiangsu recorded 530.96 billion yuan in software and information technology services revenue, up 7.4% year on year, 113.79 billion yuan in industrial software industry chain revenue, up 12.5% year on year, and basic software, cloud services, big data, and industrial Internet platform services revenue up 20.7%, 32.4%, 46.8%, and 15.6% year on year respectively.

The rapid development of information technology has become a key increment in the transformation and upgrading of "Made in Jiangsu". In the first half of the year, there were 112 newly recognized provincial-level intelligent factories in Jiangsu with 6 enterprises included in the "National Industrial System Mass Personalization Customization Standard Application Pilot" list, ranking first in the country in total.

The deep integration of information technology and manufacturing has effectively improved production efficiency, partially alleviating the pressure caused by significant price increases in raw materials, and promoting industrial profits to break out of the trough and rebound rapidly.
