East China’s Jiangsu province held a mobilization meeting on Tuesday to announce the launch of the construction of a national intellectual property demonstration zone. Nanjing and Suzhou are listed as one of the 10 national intellectual property protection demonstration zones recently released by the State Council.
The National Intellectual Property Protection Demonstration Zone is a national level demonstration project approved by the State Council and is the highest honor in the field of intellectual property.
In 2023, Jiangsu will give full play to the national intellectual property protection demonstration zones in Nanjing and Suzhou as an opportunity to promote the reform of intellectual property management system, cross regional and cross departmental protection cooperation, and cultivate the intellectual property advantages of industrial innovation clusters.
Jiangsu will also strive to explore the establishment of an integrated protection and cooperation mechanism for intellectual property administration and justice in the Yangtze River Delta and Nanjing Metropolitan Area, improve strong chain projects such as high-value patent cultivation, patent navigation, and overseas warning analysis, deepen and expand the "1+13+N" intellectual property rapid cooperation protection system, and strive to form a batch of replicable and promotable innovative measures.
As the only demonstration province in China to implement intellectual property strategy and one of the first batch of leading intellectual property strong provinces, Jiangsu ranks among the top in terms of comprehensive intellectual property strength in the country. The latest statistics show that Jiangsu has maintained the first place in the country for 7 consecutive years in terms of the number of invention patents owned by 10000 people. The number of high-value invention patents owned by 10000 people in Jiangsu is 1.9 times that of the whole country, and the social satisfaction with intellectual property protection ranks first in the country.
