Starting from April 10th, Nanjing Customs launched an online inspection system to issue the first online version of "Export Inspection and Quarantine Certificates" for the local enterprises.
At the customs declaration hall of Kunshan Customs, the staff of Huadali Furniture (China) Co., Ltd. were declaring the export of solid wood furniture. With the information of the goods recorded, the first export inspection and quarantine certificate issued online in Jiangsu was immediately printed out.
"In the past, we had to go to the customs almost every day to apply for an export certificate. Now, the customs has implemented online issuance, allowing us to obtain the certificate within one minute. Faster customs clearance time has given us more confidence in expanding the market, seizing orders, and expanding production capacity," said Ren Chiheng, Customs Manager of Huadali Furniture (China) Co., Ltd.
The online issuance of export certificates is a new model for facilitating the application and issuance of export inspection and quarantine certificates, which involves independent declaration by enterprises, intelligent customs review, and self-service issuance by enterprises.
The customs department can directly issue certificates online after reviewing the certificate information through the system, avoiding personnel round-trip and helping to save operating costs, truly achieving more standardized work processes and more convenient supervision.
"In the next step, we will take the pilot of this model as an opportunity to continuously optimize the inspection process, release reform dividends, vigorously promote the construction of "smart customs", and help enterprises improve their international market competitiveness," said Zhai Weiling, Deputy Director of Suzhou Customs Office in Wuzhong.
Starting from April 10th, Nanjing Customs organized Suzhou Customs and Kunshan Customs to take the lead in conducting pilot operations for online issuance of inspection and quarantine certificates in the province before comprehensively promoting the new model across the province by the end of April.
