The tenth anniversary of the establishment of Jiangsu Provincial Chamber of Commerce of Hong Kong Businesses and the inauguration ceremony of the third council were held in Nanjing on Thursday.

Leung Chun-ying, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People"s Political Consultative Conference, and Lee Ka-chiu, respectively sent congratulatory letters.

Fang Wei, Vice Governor of Jiangsu Province, and Carrie Lam, Permanent Honorary President of Jiangsu Provincial Chamber of Commerce of Hong Kong Businesses, delivered speeches.

Among the top leaders present at the ceremony were Huang Wei, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People"s Political Consultative Conference and Deputy Director of the Education, Science, Health and Sports Committee, He Jing, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People"s Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and Wang Hao, Vice Chairman of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Chinese People"s Political Consultative Conference.

Fang Wei said in his speech that since its establishment, the Jiangsu Provincial Chamber of Commerce of Hong Kong Businesses has actively served Hong Kong-funded enterprises in Jiangsu and played an important role in economic and trade exchanges between the two regions.

He said Jiangsu will continue to provide high-quality guarantees for the development of Hong Kong-funded enterprises in Jiangsu, give full play to the unique advantages of Jiangsu and Hong Kong, and promote common development and prosperity.
