East China"s Jiangsu province paid tribute to revolutionary martyrs in various forms on April 5th, the annual Qingming Festival.

More than 400 people, including relatives of martyrs, primary and secondary school students, armed police officers, and medical staff, gathered at the memorial square of the Yuhuatai Martyrs Cemetery in Nanjing to pay tribute to the martyrs and revisit revolutionary history.

"This event made me deeply aware of the steadfast revolutionary will of the heroes and their fearless heroism for the liberation of the whole nation," said a primaryschool student.

The descendants of martyr Wu Zhenpeng read a letter to the martyr.

"I have been to the Nanjing Yuhuatai Martyrs Cemetery and have come to the place where you sacrificed. Standing in front of the display board, I seem to see that before your death, you were subjected to severe torture but never gave up any secrets to the enemy," said the descendant of Martyr Wu Zhenpeng.

More than 2000 students from Huai"an Chuzhou Experimental High School came to the Liu Laozhuang Company Memorial Park of the New Fourth Army in Huaiyin District, Huai"an City to commemorate the revolutionary martyrs.

80 years ago, in the battle of Liu Laozhuang, 82 young warriors fought bravely against Japanese and puppet forces 20 times their own, fighting until the last person, and composed a touching anti-Japanese poem with their flesh and blood.

"During the Qingming Festival, we have received 150 thousand people, with an average of 40-50 teams per day. Visitors have expressed their desire to draw spiritual strength from this red story and transform it into a driving force for work," said Cheng Min, Interpreter of the Liu Laozhuang Company Memorial Park of the New Fourth Army in Huai"an City.

320 named martyrs and 56 unnamed martyrs, including 33 martyrs who died on the battlefield of the Korean War, are buried in the Xibei Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery in Wuxi. On Wednesday morning, people from all walks of life in Wuxi came here to mourn the martyrs, including six Korean War veterans over the age of 90.

College students in Jurong pay tribute to the martyrs on the Chinese Martyrs" Network by lighting up a white candle to mourn the deceased, and paying tribute to the martyrs with a bouquet of flowers.

Students in Changzhou painted the images of Qu Qiubai, Yun Daiying and Zhang Tailei, three revolutionary martyrs from Changzhou.

"The best consolation for the martyrs in the new era is for the new youth to constantly strive and advance," said a collge student in Changzhou.

"We will integrate social forces and jointly participate in red ideological and political education, innovate and carry out immersive and experiential red education activities, tell the stories of the Party, the revolution, and heroes, and let the spirit of heroes and martyrs be continuously inherited," said Deputy Director of Changzhou Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery.
