In May, Jiangsu recorded a year-on-year increase of 9.6% in the added value of industries above designated size with a cumulative increase of 8.8% from January to May, according to the latest analysis of industrial economic operation by the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology.

The province recorded a year-on-year increase of 10.5% in industrial use of electricity. In May, the 13 prefecture-level cities in the province recorded growth of industrial added value above designated size with Lianyungang, Nantong, Wuxi, Huai"an, Taizhou, Changzhou, and Zhenjiang posting a year-on-year growth of more than 10%.

The output value of 2169 sample enterprises in the province recorded a year-on-year increase of 6% in May.
