Bird enthusiasts have observed a population of over 300 black faced spoonbills in transit in the Tiaozini Wetland of Dongtai County, which is the highest recorded transit population in recent years.

The black faced spoonbill is a national first-class protected animal and a world-class endangered species. The flat black bill resembles the traditional instrument pipa, hence the name spoonbill. The black faced spoonbill has high requirements for its habitat environment, and this transit highlights the continuous improvement of the ecological environment in the Tiaozini Wetland in recent years.
