China has recorded a transmission of 300 million kilowatts of electricity from the west to the east, which has given a strong support for the power supply and guarantee, the National Energy Administration said at a press conference held Wednesday in Beijing.
To strengthen energy and electricity security and supply, and moderately optimize the layout of electricity supply, as of the end of June, China reported 2.71 billion kilowatts in installed power generation capacity, a year-on-year increase of 10.8%.
In the first half of the year, China put into operation and connected various types of power sources with an installed capacity of approximately 140 million kilowatts, including approximately 30 million kilowatts of supporting power sources. At the same time, China has increased its planning and construction of transmission channels.
In the meantime, China has given full play to the role of transmission channels. Since the beginning of summer, China has recorded a maximum of about 160 million kilowatts of trans-provincial and cross-regional DC power transmission.
The power stations in North China, Northwest China, Northeast China Yunnan and Guizhou have basically transmitted electricity to various parts of the country according to their maximum transmission capacity, effectively ensuring the power supply during heavy load periods in East China, Central China, and Guangdong.
